Tweeted something the other day and seemed like it resonated with people (47 likes is a good indicator in the midst of Twitter totally killing my reach)

This tweet was a result of seeing some dude relentlessly argue on Twitter. Later though, I realized that this is a problem beyond Twitter. One study that came out during the 2020 US elections showed that the US is more polarized & opinionated than ever. Every single day, there are more and more examples of how polarized the world has become. The problem is not people having opinions, but going to the end of it PLUS leaving no room for argument.
EITHER this OR that. NO!
Nowadays people are ridiculed for NOT having opinions. I hardly have opinions about anything. WHY CAN'T JUST PEOPLE LIVE WITH IT?!
Social media certainly has a huge role to play. Anything + social media = Anything AMPLIFIED.
I am not even getting to the political side of things. The deeper we go the worse it gets. I am tired. Tired of seeing people arguing like there's no tomorrow. The whole billionaires taking space flights argument is so stupid (to me) and so tiring. The irony is that capitalism is being bashed by folks who tweet using an iPhone. I can't be bothered.
Anyway, I think we all realize that this is a genuine problem and I'm optimistic about it being solved in some way or the other. I just don't have any ideas rn, maybe in a later essay. If you have any ideas, drop them in the chat. Would love to discuss this!
Until next time :)
