I know, the word metaverse is being thrown around like anything lately. No one's to blame. No one knows what they're talking about. Neither do I. Metaverse is not quite defined. Today, it is in people's imaginations in various forms and shapes, depends on an individual's worldview. Good or evil? Harmful or Harmless? Will such a thing even exist in the mainstream?

Well, the last question is quite rhetorical. Though, the people reading this might argue that it's inevitable. But I wonder how will those 3 billion people who're yet to have access to the internet, react to the physical world that is truly integrated with the digital world.

I assume it won't be very welcoming, even the people online shit on billionaires for doing crazy shit, let alone newly arrived-online people accepting the metaverse the way it arrives. I don't think there'll be a 'before-metaverse' or 'after-metaverse' distinction though. It'll slowly become fully a part of our reality.

As far as the aftermath is concerned, as I said, it'll be indistinguishable from our reality but the physical world won't be the same as is today. The way houses and apartments are structured, the way cities are structured, will undergo massive transformation IMO, to reduce the friction between the physical & the virtual realm. Most cities today are designed around trains or metros. In the future, the metaverse will shape our cities and houses. And that's just one aspect. I'm certain there's much more to it.

Anyway, I out of words & thoughts for today.

Until next time :)
