It's nearly impossible to cultivate the habit of deep work in Indian households. 🥱
I've tried, multiple times. IT. DOESN'T. WORK.
There's just no escape! You just cannot timebox your entire day and stick to it. There is not one day that goes as planned. Something or the other comes up. Can't even timebox that errand for later. It has to be addressed now. Sure, if it takes less than 2-3 minutes, do it right away. Anything longer than 5 minutes... 😩
Even the smallest of chime or the anticipation of a chime is distracting, errands are a whole task in itself that doesn't even get you closer to your 'goals'.
But yes, I get it. Eventually, that's just 50% of life. It's these errands that'll take up half your life so you gotta live with it and adjust accordingly. You can minimize it if you can afford to, but there's no escape. You gotta do what you gotta do. So if something has helped you minimize this issue, please share :D
I wanna do my best work during my prime time (age) though since I have the privilege too!
And personally, there are not many things that are in my control wrt the environment I live in rn. (guess that's every Indian household story?)
Hence, Himachal public, send living costs and other details xD
Until next time :)
